This is such a wonderful demonstration and explanation of chronic pain. So often I have felt protection (expressed as pain and consequently limited movement) occurring in a client’s body, long after the initial injury or experience that caused the protective sensation of pain. One of the many reasons that I Love, Love, Love Barefoot Massage is that often the body is able to experience a reboot, communicating to the nervous system that the initial danger and consequent need for pain no longer exists, Pain is absolutely debilitating and I am so happy it is finally being researched and understood to help find the relief that everyone living with it deserves.
Trust me, I'm a Physiotherapist Great video where prof. Lorimer Moseley himself talks about persistent pain! :) Persistent pain has become a beast in our society... we have to tame it. Click: sound on📢

So many of my Barefoot Massage clients are just visiting or passing through Truth or Consequences and after experiencing their new favorite massage they are excited to find a Barefoot Massage Therapist back home... 👣💆🏻 Therapists trained with the Center for Barefoot Massage are the only ones I recommend because they are taught safely, thoroughly and in the amazingly effective style that I'm using. 👣💆🏻♂️ The temptation to make a quick buck by offering online training has caused a frightening trend that sadly has infiltrated the Barefoot Massage Training Community in a big way 🤷🏻♀️ Please ALWAYS make sure your therapist has learned how to massage with their feet with a live instructor, NOT from an online course or video 🤦🏻♀️ #barefootmassagetraining #ashiatsu #ashiatsuisthenewblack #deeperthandeeptissue #youvegottabekiddingme #safetyfirst #kindafiredupWhat's the difference between the Ashiatsu you've heard of for years and our new FasciAshi?! <<do you see the word "Fascia" in there? That's the key in our work.
We teach anatomy based, Fascia-focused strokes that have been developed by a team of experienced and highly trained barefoot massage specialists, not just one person. FasciAshi classes offer detailed advanced technique combined with education on the theories as to WHY you'd apply each stroke and who they are most effective for, and how you can create a comprehensive barefoot massage session catered to each client.
Something to note, too, is that we are the only major Ashiatsu continuing education company that does not offer or support Video/Online/E-Learning training for Ashiatsu. We'd rather teach you in person to be a safe, well educated anatomy nerd who knows how to use your feet just as effectively as your hands.
We've noticed an accelerated level of skill in our alumni in these FasciAshi classes (that we only just released this year!) compared to what we were teaching elsewhere prior to starting our new company, the Center for Barefoot Massage👣
